Open AI capabilities and turn on Order capture. The AI can then collect products, variants, quantities, customer details, fulfillment method, and confirmation in the conversation.
Keep product names, current prices, stock notes, delivery areas, and payment rules in the knowledge base so the order conversation remains accurate.

Use order taking for ecommerce
Connect Shopify when you want catalog and order context available to the AI. A confirmed chat order should still follow your normal payment, fraud review, inventory, and fulfillment process.

- Keep return and cancellation policies available to the AI

Use order taking for local stores
For pickup or local delivery, add store hours, service radius, pickup instructions, delivery fees, and accepted payment methods. The AI can collect a structured request and hand unusual cases to your team.
