You need an Instagram Professional account linked to a Meta Business Page. Personal accounts cannot use the messaging API.

Connect Instagram
Dashboard → Integrations → Instagram → Connect with Meta. Grant messaging permissions and select the correct Page.

Instagram and WhatsApp threads appear in one inbox. Tag leads, pause AI per thread, and use broadcasts across channels where supported.
